From Babusar pass, one can travel further north to reach Chilas, which is located on the Karakorum highway. Pakistan is connected to China through this very highway.

Aiming towards promoting the sport of mountain biking in the northern mountainous regions, the Pakistan Government has started to organize mountain bike races. The International Mountain Bike Race, Kaghan, is one of the most famous and popular mountain bike races in Pakistan.The best time for mountain biking in the Kaghan Valley is between the months of May and October. There are several routes that you can opt for while biking. The terrain suitable for you will be decided on whether you are an amateur or a professional mountain biker. The popular routes for mountain biking in Kaghan valley includes trips from Mansehra to Balakot, Balakot to Shogran, Shogran to Kaghan, Kaghan to Naran, Naran to Burawi and Burawi to Lake Lulusar. The International Mountain Bike Race, Kaghan is usually held along these routes. In the present year of 2007, the International Mountain Bike Race, Kaghan will be held between 7th to 9th September.
